Have You Thought About the Coolant in Your Trucks Lately?

Like everything else, coolant technology has come a long way over the years. Many trucks on the road today are using an outdated coolant that offers far less protection than what’s available now.

Coolant plays an important role in the proper operation of your truck. Without a properly operating cooling system, your truck may not make the fire scene or, worse, suffer serious engine damage.

Coolant has several demanding jobs. First, it must keep the engine cool without boiling over. Second, it can’t freeze or cause freeze damage in the winter.  Third, it contains additives that reduce corrosion inside the engine and stop detrimental cavitation to the cylinder walls.
Like engine oil, coolant has a life expectancy. If you have green coolant or the coolant in your truck has not been flushed and refilled in the last 5 years, you should consider having FLSI check your system now.

The newest coolant technology is (OAT) Organic Acid Technology. OAT coolant is nitrite free and does not require any additives over the life of the coolant.

FLSI uses Peak Final Charge Global Extended Life Coolant on any flush and refill service. This coolant has a life of 1,000,000 miles, 8 years or 20,000 hours of engine operation.
Please call us today at 800.289.3574 or email service@flsi.net for more information or to schedule your flush and refill service.
